An adult bed bug is 5mm x 3mm and flat and oval in shape and a reddish brown colour. They feed on blood and can live for up to a year without another feed. Bed bugs are usually associated with poor and unhygienic conditions but this is not always the case. These are nocturnal non-flying bugs and therefore crawl into anything that can be transported. These are mainly found in domestic premises in the comfort of your bed mattress, bed frames, furniture, wallpaper and skirting boards. Usually within a 3 meter radius of your bed or sleeping area.
